Harlow
“I have a tremendous amount of respect and appreciation for this organization and their friendship/partnership with Desmond’s Army. If it weren’t for their incredible collaboration, and rescue efforts, my Harlow girl would likely have been euthanized. I officially adopted Harlow one year ago this month! She has been one of the biggest blessings in my life. Veterinary records were provided for Harlow and a cost breakdown of expenses paid for her historectomy etc. She was treated with so much love and care I knew this organization was doing their due diligence to provide the best outcomes for each and every animal lucky enough to be rescued by Army’s Legacy. Harlow transitioned incredibly well with my dog friendly tuxedo cat Onyx and elderly Bernese Mountain Dog Timber. Within the year, Timber’s health began to decline and lost full mobility of his back legs. Harlow was his best friend and helped comfort him throughout his challenges. She did the same for me. She was gentle, kind, and patient with him. I don’t know how I could have gone through that without her. Timmy was my first dog. I decided to rescue another husky to assure that all of us had some positivity moving forward with the grief of Timmy’s decline. Harlow and Cedar are now the very best of friends and I truly believe they were meant to find me and eachother. We are a pack and although we are all saddened by the loss of Timmy, we all bonded so much and have everlasting memories we all share together. I feel so lucky and I really can’t thank them enough for saving my Harlow Roo; really, she saved me too.”

Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to give Buddy his furever home. He is absolutely a wonderful well mannered loving husky. Well he can be an a$$hole at times- I am out of socks. 😂

Wilson
A year ago today Amanda Vecchio Armstrong asked me if I could go pick up a dog that needed to be pulled from a house and bad situation. I had no idea in that moment that he would never leave ❤️ we love our baby Wilson. Happy Gotcha Day!! A big thank you to Army’s Legacy Animal Rescue And Sanctuary, Inc. for giving me the opportunity to serve and a big thank you for all the pups you help save and place ♥️

My story with Army's Legacy Rescue
I reached out to Amanda when every other rescue turned their backs on me. I went and personally rescued THE most amazing sweet boy named max who was at nycacc. I pulled him the day before he was set to be euthanized knowing he had behavioral issues. One look into his eyes and you could see he was just misunderstood. Once he was transported from NYC to me in CT I began to let him decompress etc. When the time came a few months later to find him his forever home not a single person or soul would help me including the rescue I got him from. Amanda was kind enough to see and hear my plea for help and guide me in finding max a forever home. She checked the vet references and house visits etc. Max found an amazing home with a man who loves him and all his quirks. If it wasn’t for such an amazing, kind, generous, caring woman like Amanda I would have never found max his forever home or worse he would not be living his best life today. Amanda and her staff are hands down amazing and go above and beyond when most won’t even call back. Armys Legacy has my heart ❤ 💜
